FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: December 14, 2014

We are saddened to learn of the tragic death of baby John Clark. Pastor Randy Barber of the Calgary Central Adventist Church confirmed that John’s parents, Jeromie and Jennifer Clark, hold their membership at the Calgary Central Adventist Church. He also states that because the couple had not been involved in the church for the past eight years, he was unaware of the situation in the Clark household. Together with Pastor Barber and the Calgary Central Adventist Church, we extend our heartfelt condolences to family and friends who continue to grieve in this tragic situation.

Adventists believe in developing physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual wholeness. We not only promote healthful living but also make every effort to share  beneficial health principles with members and the community at large. Many churches offer classes on smoking cessation and how to prepare healthful, balanced, and delicious meals.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church owns and operates about 450 hospitals and clinics worldwide, one of the largest health networks in the world, including Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Moreover, our humanitarian organization, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), works around the world to eliminate poverty, hunger, and malnourishment.

Loving and caring for our children is the greatest joy of parenting, which embraces the provision of quality medical care, a healthful balanced diet, and a solid education.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainline Protestant denomination of 19,000,000 believers in 216 countries. The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada has approximately 67,000 members in 400 churches and congregations. Our mission is to share Jesus Christ’s message of Hope and Wholeness.
