Across age groups and ministries, members of Christ The Way Church have been putting their faith into action, demonstrating what it means to be a church on the move.
Christ The Way church recently embarked on its 7th Annual Food Bank Drive, which resulted in 2,049 kilograms of food collected for the Edmonton Food Bank.
This year, organizers took a new approach - empowering volunteer group leaders to form their own teams and adopt specific communities. Door hangers were distributed in advance, followed by coordinated pickups a few days later.
This strategy created a sense of ownership and energy among volunteers.
First Elder at CTW, Fernando Johnson described this year’s effort as a success and is already looking forward to next year’s drive.
Organizer of the event, Clerk Cindy Yaceyko says the new approach was so successful, they’re looking to implement again next year.

Christ The Way’s youngest members continue to make an impact in the community.
The church’s Emerald Gate Adventurer Club, re-presented Christ in the simplest yet most profound way when they visited The Rutherford Heights Senior’s Home where they sang, shared smiles, and spent meaningful time with the residents.
For many of the seniors, it was more than just a visit, it was a moment of joy and connection. And for the children, it was an early lesson in the beauty of service and the power of presence.
Associate Adventurer Leader, Ronique Holgate is pleased with how the day turned out and says the children have been invited back to fellowship with the seniors.
Christ The Way Church, through its various outreach initiatives, continues to demonstrate that ministry doesn’t stand still - it moves. And through these efforts, the message is clear: when the church moves, lives are touched.
