Hurricane Melissa Devastates the Caribbean

Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. This was the most intense tropical storm to strike the island nation in the last two centuries. Melissa’s destructive power was felt in Jamaica, Haiti, The Dominican Republic, Cuba, and The Bahamas. Many have been left without  electricity and are living in shelters.

The situation is disheartening. At least 28 people are already confirmed dead in Jamaica, and the death toll has risen to 60 people across the Caribbean. In times like these, we need generous and compassionate people like you to make a real difference.
